I would like to replace the white pick guard on my 4001V63 Maple Glo with a Tortoise Type. I would like to get the head stock name plate in Tortoise as well. Any recommendation on parts suppliers.

Forget about getting a truss rod cover/nameplate. RIC does not make it in tortoise, and a new one is trademarked and only available through RIC, and then only with your original sent in first. You would have to make a blank one yourself.
If you decide to do this, be sure to keep that original truss rod cover.
There are aftermarket custom pickguard makers who might make you a pickguard in tortoise, probably with your original as a pattern; Google for Jeannie Pickguards or Chandler Pickguards.

David....
Are you SURE about this? I mean...it is a V63! Tortoise? Are you sure? (He said, looking at the Ric on Ebay with the hideous red pickguard...)

I wouldn't do that tortoise pickguard change. It will make the V63 look so un-Ric.

If you really want a tortoise pickgaurd, I will trade you my Fender AV '62 Jazz Bass for your V63. Much better to do this than ruin a nice bass. This way these two basses will remain period correct.
