Here is one picture from the book 'Liverpool Days'. I´m not sure about the one at the right, but the one with the neat suit and harp and the one in the middle are mods for sure. The picture was taken by Astrid Kirchherr, in Liverpool, posibly in the lanes in 'The Cavern' area, in april 1964.

I found a pair of Sears Beatle boots at Value Village here in Halifax. Cost me 8$CDN.

The guy on the right looks like more of a 'Mocker'...

Cheap Beatle boots. One of the many bennies to living in Halifax, eh? 'Course, by the time you get to wear them, people have moved on to Fitty Sen'

The clothes often make the man and the rock group for that matter. It is so interesting to see how the dress of the
Mods and Rockers had its influence on the music in Liverpool and elsewhere throughout the UK.

Yep, the guy on the right is Johnny, indeed.
Here's Dee Dee. I'd say, that guy rather looks like a "cross" between the two.

Meh. I might as well dig up an old thread!
As hip as those hipsters are, they are certainly not mods. At least not mods in the proper (and historical) sense of the word. Long hair and frumpy coats/suits are far from slick Italian mod fashion (as seen in London-1964 Terence Spencer type photos).
Still cool though!
But hey! what do I know? ha...
Cheers,
-Collin

Spot on, Collin. I mean, the one on the left is wearing jeans, isn't he? Mods...wearing JEANS? Never!
