Kind of interesting actually! Nice flame on the body.

Would this be legally called a Rickenfaker?
Probably not.

That is interesting.

Personally I find the combination of the cresting waves contours and toilet-seat guard a bit disturbing. At least it's all within the general "water in movement" theme.

I had a black '75 4001(Deadgoat bought the truss rod cover) that had checked finish so I sanded it down, removed the cracked binding and contoured the edges like this one. I kinda like it except for the MusicMan pickguard.

Let's hope that some idiot doesn't buy it and later lists it on eBay as a "Rickenbacker Custom Shop" bass!

What do you get when you cross breed a beatle and a flea? A Fleaney? Or perhaps a McCartlea?

How about a Fleas-Paul?

Not my cup of tea. I can't get use to these features, especially the guard and the bolt on neck. Also, it is a bit disconcerting that the immediate flash image, especially to the uninitiated, is that of a Rickenbacker.

you notice the seller did not show the headstock ... it has to be a fender style headstock on a Ric body ... no there's a clash ...
