1. hey. my rick need some trussrod adustment. i have done this on several guitars befor, but never on one with two rods. i have heard horror stories
where the fingerboard has poped of and so on. also there seems to be two truss rod systems a new one and a old one. does my guitar have a new or old one? i have a 1987 1998 pete townshend. any info on the subjekt og links to pages with info would help alot.

2. i know i have asked this before. but thats a long time ago. but how does the 5 knob-3 picups- 1 3-way switsc combination work. i newer seem to figure it out. i get too bright og to mellow sound. uasally i just turn it all on full with the switsch in the middle position and work out the sound on my amp.

thanks

When was it made ,do you have the old rods or the new rods?

The new rods are really easy to operate. They are the same as anyone elses.

Just put even tension on both sides.DON'T leave one loose...it can rattle .This is true of any rod system.

The 3 pickup guitars with 5 knobs are kind of quirky (putting it nicely)

You must think of them as a two pickup guitar ,with the controls the same as a two pickup Rick.

The third pickup is added onto the neck pickup at the switch. The neck controls are also the middle controls. There is NO seperation.

The 5th knob is a reverse neck pickup volume control. This acted as a blend knob to balance the volume of the two pickups when the .0047mfd cap was used in the circuit and all guitars were shipped with flat wounds .This cap gave a bright sound in a day when there were NO round wound strings.
In the Rick-O-Sound mode...this also swept back and forth as sort of a pan pot ...but not a true pan control as on a stereo .
