The great pickup shootout

In my quest for the optimal sound from my 625 (my optimal sound, anyway
), I decided to install each of the pickups (hi-gain, vintage, humbucker, humbucker w/coil tap) and make short samples of each pickup in a variety of circuits. I wanted to see the effect of different components as well the the particular characteristics of each pickup, so I made recordings with 250K/500K volume pots, .022mfd/.047mfd tone caps, and with and without a bleed cap. I played each sample twice through a PodPro; once using the Fender Tweed model, and once using the AC-30 model. I didn't tweak any amp settings, both volume and tone on 10, bridge position only, and very little concern for missed notes.
I originally did this for personal reference, but I noticed that some folks are wondering about the difference in sound between the different pickups, or the effect of a coil tap. To the extent that this helps, have at it. You can check them out here.
