Rickenbacker 100W B212 - help
I have recently purchased a Rickenbacker B212 (the model number is difficult to read so I may have it wrong). This amp seems to be similar to a Fender Twin in that it has 2 12s and is a 100 watt all tube amp. The sound is a little deeper than a Fender and the cab is bigger than a Fender Twin. Can anyone give me any information on this amp. Thanks for the help.

The amp is very similar to the Fender Twin Reverb, although not a blatant knockoff. Also, the transformers are quite different and the amp has a sonic character all it's own. This 'B' series was manufactured between '73 & '75 and was available as combo or head & cabinet versions. I've seen several B410's and I have three of the B115 bass combos, but the B212 doesn't show up that often. Perhaps they didn't make that many. The tremolo is also unique in it's design as it uses an FET instead of a photocell. All of the 70's 'B' series amps I've had on the bench deliver 120 watts RMS! Very cool, eh?!

Can anyone provide me the schematic for the B212? I believe it's in the Aspen Pittman The Tube Amp book. An emailed copy would be greatly appreciated.....

The original schematics for the B212 and B410 are now posted on the Rickenback website, go to:

John Hall replied to initial inquiry and posted the long-lost schematics. So now anyone that is nuts enough to work on an old B212 can now get the schematic.....
