I thought I would see if there are others interested in my favorite group, The Searchers of course, on an other web site call Vox Talk.

Here is the thread Vox Talks Link

This site is frequently visited by a former member of an early invasion band called the Undertakers. He responded to my post. He also indicated that his band played with The Searchers in the early days.

He could be an extremley informative source for all of us. Peter, please check him out.

Thanks to,

Rick Doeschler

Thanks Rick. I have heard his name mentioned before and I expect that he would be a great resource.

Rick: I have just read the interesting series of posts to which you referred. I was most interested to learn that Tony Jackson played bass for the Undertakers for a two week period during the absence of Jackie Lomax.

Peter,

Thanks for resonding about this guy who I think is named Chris Huston, formaley of the Undertakers. I would like to write him and make him aware of your site so we can all ask our specific questions of him regarding The Searchers. I will let you guide me on this one.

His input could be extremly helpful to us guitarist's in that we can learn first hand what they used in the way of guitars (Hofner Club 40, Burns,Gibson 345 and of course Mike famous Rickenbaker 360/12).

Would you like me to direct him here or would you prefer to make contact?

Hey guys,

Thank you for the invitation to visit your site. I must admit that I've only had time to rush through and throw in my two cents, here and there. There is such a wealth of information here. Truly amazing!

It is incredible to me that what we all took for granted back then, is now legend. I can honestly tell you that starting with three chords, back in Liverpool, my life has been charmed. I am not meaning to imply that I have lived off the celebrity of MerseyBeat, quite the opposite. Just that I have been fortunate to have achieved so much in both my life and career and humbly aknowledge that it all started with those three chords.

I will continue to visit here, although I travel a lot, in my work. If anyone has any specific questions, I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.
