Hi,
thought i'd tell you that Agneta Fältskog is out with a CD on Warner, called My Colouring Book. It contains cover versions only, among them When you walk in the room! I haven't heard the record. The one critic I read didn't fare well with the result as a whole. But he mentions WYWITR as one of the two best efforts. I don't know if any references to the Searchers are being made, or if the song is attributed to Jackie deShannon's original only.

Einar (Mama Mia).

PS: I love our neighbours the Swedes, but I never understood ABBA's success. Compare with the Mamas and the Papas- THERE was talent!

I still haven't listened to lovely Agneta's new record (and will I ever?), but I have studied the cover. There's no reference to the Searchers. In a postscript, she thanks some important influences (many female artists, including Jackie), and also Beatles and Beach Boys. But sorry, not our boys. It remains to find out, however, if her WITR has lent som tricks from Frank&co.

I have listened to it (I bought the CD) and it owes more to Jackie De Shannon than to anyone else.

Yes I have heard it and don't think it is a bad version, at least it is arranged somewhat differently
