I just saw the Joe Zawinal Syndicate tonight at the Tri-C jazz Fest in Cleveland. Does this guy know how to pick bass players or what! Lindley Marthe is his latest in a slew of incredible bassists. This guy must sleep with his bass.
The whole band was grooving like there was no tomorrow anhd their vocalist, Sabine Kabongo, was truly...there are no words to describe what she did! If you ever get the chance to see this band, it is a must do. For me this was probably the most mind blowing musical experience.
