My bright green-haired nephew is about to embark on the Warped Tour. He says they now have sponsorship from Deusenburg guitars. All he could tell me about the was they are German, 1500 bucks a pop and Ron Wood plays one. Anyone know about these guitars? Philco?

You have it misspelled, here's the website: http://www.duesenberg.de/ . Obvious Gretsch and Gibson influences at work, and very nice looking guitars. I don't know anything about them but I had seen the site before when someone sent me a link to their short scale basses.

As I was saying to myself as I was last browsing the guitar brands reviewed on Harmony-Central, what we REALLY need is another guitar company selling on Gibson/Gretsch/Fender styling or any combination thereof.

.......but Duesenbergs do look nice. Don't know if I would want a tile covered one, however.

One thing about a tile covered one Philip, you could get something to clean it with in the grocery store, where the toilet and shower cleaners are.

I agree. And another thing, I'm sick of accoustic guitar makers selling on Martin/Gibson/Taylor styling, you know kinda figure "8" rounded with a hole in the middle.

Jerry, that's why I bought a Tacoma Chief, and I'm in no need of any Martin/Taylor/Gibson type of acoustic guitar. Everybody who has played the Chief was favorably impressed, and said it was different from anything they had ever played. The wood in even the cheapest Tacomas is fabulous.

The Olympia line by Tacoma looks nice as well. I have my eye on the 0B3CE acoustic-electric bass with 4-band EQ. It goes for $370 in Musician's Friend. The Tacoma Thunderhawk baritone acoustic-electric looks nice, and check out the Papoose mini 12-string guitar. Tacoma looks like the place to go for a good acoustic at a great price.

Spector has reintroduced their American built electric guitars, and I believe they have the double curved Steinberger bodies and Steinberger bridges like the basses have. They should have the graphite reinforced neck and other features of the basses as well. If it's as good as the American and Euro basses, it would be worth checking out. I hope they come out with a Euro version at a lower price, like they did with their basses. Things are looking up there since Stuart Spector regained control of the company. There were several improvements on this year's basses also.

Thought I'd revive this thread instead of starting a new one. Has anyone here played a Duesenberg, or own one? The corporate website has a few pretty good sound clips. I actually kind of like the Outlaw:

Hear, hear, Philco! My #1 acoustic performance and songwriting guitar is my Tacoma Chief. Outstanding instrument.

Duesenbergs are cute, but I'll go with DiPinto instead.

And they're lefty friendly too!
