There he was, Jimmy Falon preparing to play a fireglow 370 when he was interupted by Tina Fey. Later in the show it was Snoop Dog as Rick James with a fireglow 4001 sporting the famous clear plexi thumbrest. Yes Rick fans, it was truly a night to remember...sort of.

Yes indeed, I thought the same thing. Other than the always fetching Tina Fey, the 2 Ricks were the only redeeming factors for last nights show.
Avril Lavigne could perform under a canopy of Rickenbackers & it wouldn't help her or that sad band of hers at all.

I spotted a Ric guitar on the TV show Scrubs recently.

I saw them too, and I've seen them on Scrubs and other shows. they seem to be the new trendy expensive pretty looking prop, like iMacs used to be. kind of a waste.

Well iMacs and many other Apple products are seen in movies, etc, because I believe Apple has a standing policy of giving product to be used as set dressing. If you want it, and your show's decent enough, you get it. No questions asked.

There's a couple of Rics on the new, strange "Business is Beautiful" Sprint commercials. They have truss rod covers with the Rickenbacker name removed. Like that would fool anyone.

imacs and apple products are seen in movies and in real life in the "wonderful world of graphics " and as props in magazines etc.. they are fantastic design icons with very elegant functionality unlike the ubiquitous pc.. just look at the i-pod ! then take a look at bill gates ? love your mac !
