Roundwounds on a fretless Rick

I did the Jaco thing (6 coats of Petits Poly Poxy)to my 4001sfl in '91 and it still shows no sign of wear. I use Rotosound rounds on it and it sounds great. I just posted a pic of it in this group.

Sergio..Thought you,d seen this one!! Picked this up last year in the U.K. at 600 pounds sterling. A steal for that market. Originally from the bass player of the "Heavy Metal Kids" a band that was meant to be huge in the mid 70,s from the U.K. but never quite got there...It had been sold to the next owner who thought it was a 74/75 which was when he bought it. When he told me the serial number was MD and sent me pics I moved quickly!! In all original EX+ condition. It,s still in the U.K. but I,m bringing it back to the States when I go home next month. He wanted a new organ (no quips please!!) and his wife made him sell the bass before he could buy one...What was he thinking...
