I've wanted a Rickenbacker ever since I first laid eyes on John Lennon's Ric on the Ed Sullivan Show! I came close to buying a used 460(I think) in around 82-83 but when I went to buy it, it was gone. Here it is 2004 and I'm not getting any younger so I just purchased a new 360 and it should be delivered by Friday. I am finally, a Rickenbacker owner! I can hardly wait for the little puppy to show up on the UPS truck at work.

Hey! I know you guys! Small world indeed. This looks like a real nice place to get the skinny on Rickenbacker details. I want to hear all about your new 650 & Tom's 620 when they arrive! Seems the 620 is the closest current model to the old 460 I fell in love with years ago. After I play with the high gain pups, I may have to spring for a set of toasters too. ;O)

Yes, it is a small world. Welcome aboard and as Tom can probably tell you, "Bet you can't own just one."

Rics are like crack. I'm already thinking about what I need to do to afford a 4003 bass.

Tom, I don't think crack comes even close to the Rickenbacker addiction. (NOT that I'm a crack user, don't get that idea!!!LOL)

C'mon. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery...I've heard.

If I could freely indulge my Ric GAS, I'd have:

SH signature
325
660/12
3 4003s (MidB,JetGlo,Vintage Fireglo)
4005 Bass

And that's for starters! ;-)

you know you have gas when someone asks you how many Rics you have and you say about 9 because you are not sure ...

Tom,
I have two of your dream instruments, a 4005WB and a 660/12!

Just a little update. I got my FG 360 Thursday and I've been having a ball with it. What a great guitar and why did I put it off so many years! Anyway, I can't find a flaw on it. It's beautiful!

Well, guys, looks like we've reeled in another one! Soon he'll snearing at incorrect pickguards and not-quite-right knobs like the rest of us.
Welcome aboard, jhawkr. I also know you from that other place, and while this forum is a lot more one-dimensional, these people know EVERYTHING about Rics.

A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
