Chris Curtis and The Fix

In his account on The Searchers in his book "Rock On, The Modern Years", Norm N. Nite wrote "Chris Curtis went on to form a group known as The Fix". A few months after this book was published (in the early 80's) there appeared on the scene a techno-pop group known as The Fixx, which featured a lead singer who bore an amazing resemblance to Chris (and if that wasn't enough, one of the other members greatly resembled John). I bought thier single "Red Skies at Night", and noticed a song writing credit to a "Curnin", hoping against hope that this was a typo. Well, it didn't take long for me to realize that this was not Chris Curtis, but a younger man named Cy Curnin. And this was after I told everyone I knew about Chris Curtis's amazing comeback!! The question I wish to ask is did Chris actually start a group called The Fix? (no relation to The Fixx of course)

Paul: I don't think that Chris was involved with the Fix, and my sincerest apologies to Norman Nite if I am in error. Chris was very open in discussing his career with Spencer Leigh in the 1997 interview which was published in a 1998 issue of The Record Collector. The Fix was not mentioned during the interview at all which certainly spanned his complete career. While by no means the last word, my two cents is that Chris would have mentioned this group.

Peter,
Is it possible to get a copy of the 1998 edition of "Record Collector" featuring the interview of
Chris Curtis by Spencer Leigh and put in on this Searchers' Forum? I bet a lot of fans would be very anxious to read it.
