A good friend sent me this pic recently, they're from '84, with my '69 4001.

Had an opportunity to take the 4080 out a couple of weeks ago. A nice venue in San Diego called the Music Box.

I've had a few gigs, but haven't taken a Rick out in a year.
This was last August.

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
Gosh, I've been away for yonks, maybe spending too much time playing my Wal bass. Not long after lockdown started last year, everyone was all worked up about being marooned at home, missing the office, and facing the prospect of working from home for "maybe as long as three months!" My 'lockdown challenge' was to make a video, so I made it about WFH. Among various 'helpful' ideas, such as typing on three keyboards to improve productivity and resilience, I suggested the working day be interspersed with bass solos to prevent an overload of seriousness — so here's me in action.
Same old '95 4003, mostly same old me. My hair is even longer now, though, so I should probably update my avatar.

Nice. Who did the headstock binding?
Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
I did. It's only paint, and a bit bashed, but it's been like that for about 20 years now.
Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
Well, from here it looks great.
