I bought the new Cyndi Lauper live DVD recently. It is a very good concert. I know her bass player is a member of this forum. He plays his Ric during the concert. One criticism I have is her arrangement for Time After Time. I really don't like it when she plays that lap string instrument (not sure what it is called). I used to play bass in a band that did a cover of that song and we really had it nailed down with a basic piano, guitar, and bass arrangement. What do you think of her arrangement Witt? I don't really hate it, but I think she could make it sound better; it is such a pretty song.

The thing about that song is that it has loads of "space" to it. Why do you think Mikes Davis covered it? Everyone can do what they want arrangement wise with that type of song. Cyndi herself has been known to play it a few different ways.
