Hi,
I just bought my first Ric, a maple glo 360 6 string. I just wanted to introduce myself and will be reading many of the great threads here. I expect I may have some questions as I get to know this guitar. I look forward to meeting everyone here.

best regards,
Mike McCue

I just bought my first one as well - a jetglo 360/12. I like it so much I went ahead and got a fireglo 360/6 to go with it, which I'm supposed to receive this Thursday or Friday. I can't believe I went so many years and never played a Rickenbacker.

Hi guys,
Just curious, how long have you been playing, and do you play out (bars, clubs, major sports venues) or just for fun?

I've been playing for about 20 years, and have played in various bands here and there. Right now, I'm not playing live anywhere, but am working on finishing up a CD. My new Ricks are changing/enhancing the flavor of many of the tracks.

Hi. I too just purchased my first Ric--a Montezuma Brown 360. It should be arriving early next week. I played a 360 in a shop and fell in love. Now, I've got my own.

Thanks for the hospitality,
I have played for a bit over 20 years. Its been a while since I played out but have about 12 years of local bar band activity. I have done lots of live sound production for a wide variety of musician ensembles... songwriter solists thru big swing bands, sitars to concert piano, pop bands, hard rock, trad jazz etc.
I now work as a sound person for television production. The gear is a lot lighter to carry.
I play all the time and have the ubiquitous home studio. I have a few fender amps as well as DIY guitar amps (fender clones) and collect cool vintage speakers to mix and match for variety. I am just a guitar kook who always wanted a Ric and never made it happen. I think you all are on to something here :-) and I am glad to get to learn from you.

thanks,
mike

Welcome aboard, you guys. I'm a relative newcomer too, and these folks took care of me and my dumb questions right away. I'm still dumb, but I ask much better questions now! Arcane Ric knowledge is the specialty around here - if there's an answer, someone here will know it.

I just got my fireglo 360. Man, no picture on the internet can do justice to this finish. Amazing!

I've never seen a Fireglo Ric in person... Actually I've never seen a Ric other then mine, I'm sure it's a really nice color tho. I've seen it look like many different colors! (A pinkish hue in the middle, maple, or yellow...)
I like that.

I just got my Montezuma Brown 360 yesterday. It is a striking guitar and plays like a dream.
