More Acoustic news

I have been advised by Rickenbacker that if I want to change my acoustic order from one model to another, after the order has been recieved at the factory, that the order will go to the back of the queue hence another extensive delay.

I have kept my order as a Laramie L730/12, as I don't want to wait another 3 years.

My advice to those of you who are contemplating ordering a Ric acoustic is to be very sure when you order that you select the correct model you want first up, as changing mid stream could be a nightmare, and current production waiting time from order date seems to be still about 12 to 18 months.

Does anyone even own a Jazzbo here?
I've never ever seen one in picture other then on the website.

I ordered my 730 online from Music123 many years ago when they first began taking orders, and just forgot about it (They don't require any upfront money). About a year and a half later they called and said it was in and did I still want it. What a fantastic sounding and playing guitar...
And I got quite a deal too!
As far as I know Rickenbacker has not made any Jazzbo's yet... in the last 40 years at least

Jazzbo's can be ordered but the wait is the same I believe, 12 to 18 months.

I took a gigantic plunge into finacial waters yesterday and I have actually ordered a "Shasta" 6 string to accompany my Laramie 730/12 and I also ordered a new "Cheyenne ii " Bass in translucent Red. My local guitar retailer nearly had a heart attack.

With the resurrection of the acoustic shop, I was hoping that they would start production on them soon.....hey, you never know.....I'm willing to wait.....

As I remember, I was told that the 760J Jazz-bo on display at NAMM earlier this year was the only one in existence.

ONe of the online megastores (MF or American musical or similar) has a review posted on a Jazzbo - but it's probably from some guy who held it for 2 minutes at the show.

That picture is interesting - In comparison to the other accoustic it looks small. . . maybe it's just the picture.

Scenario...so your band gets signed, with the advance one of the things you do is order a Jazzbo. You tour, go on Letterman, Leno, etc. Interviews in music mags...suddenly you're no longer hot, nobody cares anymore...and your Jazzbo arrives...and nobody will see it!
