Hi, Just wondering if anyone uses an old Vox volume pedal for "Yes it is", "I need you" or any song for that matter.
I thought it might be a new topic to discuss.
What kind of volume pedal are you using ?
Pros/cons of your chosen brand.

I have a Vox, it's not a vintage one or anything, I got it last December.
I don't really have anything to complain about the way it plays. It was a bit rough at first to make small adjustments because it was new but now its more used up so it works nice.

I don't actually use it much. Although the only time I played live infront of an audienced I used it with my 370.
We played While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and since we didn't have a piano player I did the intro with it, just "swelling in" each chord.

I've got a Dunlop, looks just like a Wah. It's OK and I've used it many times to play 'Yes it is' but it's not the best one I think. There's no adjustment on it and when it's backed all the way off, there's still a little sound coming out. I used to have a Morley that I liked alot and I had a Roland 'expression pedal' that worked really well, just because it had a setting knob on it and you could adjust it to half volume when it was totally backed off.

Oh, and I've always heard that on "Yes it is" that George didn't actually use a volume pedal, he played the chords as John swelled his volume knob for him. (That sounds dirty) But appearently he did use a pedal on "I need you" later on 'Help'.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Yes, that's correct. He did a few songs that way, later he used a pedal.
I use an old Vox pedal, and I also have a Morley Silver series from the early 80's. It's very quiet (it's a passive volume pedal).

I've got an old Ibanez VL-10 - it's a stereo volume/pan pedal, which has served me well for many years.

I have an original Vox volume pedal. I use it for my Jaguar organ and for guitar. It's pretty cool, very quiet.

Welcome to The Rickenbacker Forum Kate. You have to love Vox equipment.

Thank you, I do love Vox, also Rickenbacker. I have a 360/12 string that I absolutely adore.
I was into a lot of bands growing up that used Vox and Rickenbacker, so it kinda wore off on me.
