anyone prefer hi-gains over the toasters ?
has anyone have problems obtaining feedback of a suitable quality through use of the toaster. without the aid of a fuzz pedal +
has anyone replaced the cap in the circuit with a gremanium one and if so did it make any difference, make the guitar sound more like a 60's model ?

I prefer the hi-gains over the toasters, by far. I know I'm weird in that respect, but I do. The rest of your questions, I dunno.

What is feedback of 'suitable quility'?
I'd say toasters are more prone to microphonic feedback than resonant feedback if that's what you mean. I prefer toasters, but I'm not the growling feedback guy I used to be.
I've put the cap in my 325V63, though it's not 'gremanium' or anything. Came out of a big drawer at Radio Shack, and yes I think it does give it a more 'vintage' sound. Makes it brighter.
