I recently acquired a RH 4001. I'm left handed and was wondering how hard it would be to have the strap bolt on the upper horn moved to the lower horn so I dont have to fight the strap. Much thanks for the help.

With the correct tools ,very simple.

If you are retaining the Rickenbacker 'bolt' then you will need the correct tap and coresponding bit,a variable speed, reversable hand drill and some nerves of steel .
Just kidding.

Anyway, this is not as tough as it seems.
The tapping is the hardest part and it is easy to snap off the tap if you aren't careful.

But with some patience and a steady hand you can do this.
You could also use a drill that was not a variable speed but you could not tap it with the drill. You would need a 'T' handle tap holder.

If you do not have any of these tools then find a repair shop that does.

All good repair shops should have tap sets and this is a fairly commomn size.Although Rickenbacker is the ONLY company to not use a sheet metal screw for the strap button.
