Hi there,
Just bought a beautiful '67 330-12. The previous owner installed incorrect tuners becuase the originals didn't hold tune well. Can the originals be lubricated or otherwise refurbished so they can be reinstalled?
Thanks much!

Hi
I didn't have much luck fixing the old, worn Klusons on my '55 Strat.
( The ones on my '65 360/12 are still fine )
I am quite pleased, though, with the Gotoh exact Kluson replacements that I wound up using on the Strat.
They are solid with a bit more mass, hold the tuning well, and fit the same holes as the original. They are identical in appearance to the originals.
They were relatively inexpensive as well.

Got it, thanks! I spoke with Chris from Pick of the Ricks today and went with the same option.
Best,

Hang on to the originals, non-functional or not, as they will help the resale value if you ever wind up selling it.
