I was cleaning my Ric tonight and as I was contemplating it I noticed a little spot that needed a touch up.
So I went ahead to clean it with the cloth and I accidently hit the headstock on the aluminium side of my couch. Right above the tuner for the D string.

It's not so bad but damn, I'm pretty mad at myself for not being careful enough... I've had it since march and this is the first time I've actually chipped it.
It has 2 chips from either of the two previous owners, it still is 25 years old...

I still can't believe I just did that Image

The day I bought my '78 3001 from the flea market I took it home & was doing the "new used guitar once over", you know just checking & tightening everything. I was excited & didn't have my proper tools with me & was using a full size phillips head screwdriver to tighten up the pickguard screws.....
....of course the screwdriver slips & I gouged the bottom horn. Not through to the paint, but bad enough.

So Patrick, have a drink on me - we've all done it.

"You have an aluminium couch?"

You know that TV commercial about termites with the couple with the cement home? That is Patrick's house!

Haha, no well its one of those that can transform into a bed, so the frame is aluminium, from what I can tell anyways.
And well yeah the armrests are killer... I've hit my head while laing to take a nap a few times, that hurts too, hehe.
