I believe Bryan Maclean from Love had once been a roadie for The Byrds. Does this explain the extensive use of electric 12 string on Love's debut album and what kind of 12 string did Maclean play?

Bryan played a Gubson Barney Kessel every time I saw him play and that was 10 or 12 times, Johnny who was the lead guitar player had a couple Gibson double necks a 6 & 12 and a 6 & octave and a black Gibson 12/335 style guitar. I saw him play that on several occasions, so what you heard was probably Johnny.
