After 14 years of being my #1 guitar, my Rick 330 has developed a dent in the 2nd fret on the G string.

I hope someone here can help me with the following:

1) What size/type frets are used on the 330, at least as of 1990?

2) Is it possible I could get this dent worked out, say by filing, or something, without having to have the entire guitar refretted?

3) Are the frets lacquered as well as the fretboard, or not? and if so, what kind of lacquer?

HELP. Any advice will be welcome. Also, if you know of a RELIABLE and GOOD guitar tech in New Orleans or the area who can do this work, please speak up.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You may be able to just have the frets leveled. This would entail filing all of them to the same height and refiling the nut. Along with a total set up. Around here, MI, that runs about $60. Any good repair man can do this. I believe the frets do have finish on all but the playing surface. The finish is conversion varnish not laquer.
