Thanks Marty!Image

Although I'm not much into the music of L7 and Pink, I liked Janis Tanaka immediately when seeing these 2 pics of her with her late '60s/early '70s 4001 FG, a couple of years ago.

Another shot with her post-'75 4001 MG.

Unfortunately, she seems to favour her P bass these days.

Janis, if you're reading this, GET THE 4001 BACK ON!!!

Cool pics Paul...

Maybe she favors her P bass these days, but there's no getting away from the feel of a Rickenbacker Image

Hasn't she been in ads recently with a 5 string Jazz Bass? Regardless of her bass of choice, she's one hot woman, as hot as Fireglo!

L7 hasn't toured since that late 2000 tour mentioned in the interview. Janis has been with Fireball Ministry for a long time now. If you're not familiar with their music, well, errm, they're getting ready for a tour with Dio and Anthrax.

Her gear, as listed at http://www.fireballministry.com/fm_gear.html :

1969 Rickenbaker 4001 Bass
70s Fender Precision Bass
70s Rickenbaker 4001 Bass
80s EX Series Ibanez Bass

Ampeg SVT Head
Ampeg 8x10 SVT Cabinet

Boss Bass Overdrive

Dunlop 2mm Picks

SIT Strings

We should have a new section here..or at least a new thread. We could call it "Chicks with Ricks".

I still have a picture of someone's wife from the forum posing suggestively with that member's Ric, but I won't repost it here since it was removed once already! If that member wants to have a go, I'm sure there are some who would love to see it again!
