I may be taking on another project or two. To wit, I'm considering a couple of 360's with checkerboard binding. At issue here is the new finish, and specifically, how it looks with checkerboard binding.

I have seen guitars with the checkerboard binding where the demarcation between finish and binding looks ragged because the black almost blends in with the finish. It looks more like something cut with pinking shears rather than a clean demarcation. I'd like to avoid that.

I'd like to ask you guys if you have pictures of instruments (factory finish or not) with checkerboard binding. I'd like to get an idea on which colors will work and (more importantly) which one won't.

The block binding should work with any finish IMO, except maybe white - again, IMO.

I have some of that on hand if your looking for it
