Stock Guage on 360/12v64?

This seems light to me, but that's why I'm asking...

high E = 0.008"

low E = 0.041"

octave g = same as high E (0.008")

Is this the stock guage shipped on a 360/12v64 from the factory?

Thanks Peter -

I guess what I'm asking is this: if what I measured is their stock set - are they saying that a string they describe as a 10 gets compressed to an 8???

Or, are the strings I took of this guitar not what they put on them at the factory?

grsnovi: The gauges listed above are after compression. I have not measured every string gauge in the 12 string sets, however, those I have measured conformed to the specifications in my post above. Did you find 8's on your 12 string from the factory?

I purchased the instrument new from Elderly in February of this year. I unstrung it last night and measures the high e's and octave g at 8

I thought that was awful light.

Mark says that he'll use a 9 for an octave g (buys 'em in bulk ;-)

I suppose I'm going to restring it with RIC strings after I put the twelve saddle bridge on it.
