I was recently told that on either Ticket to Ride or Day Tripper (I think Day Tripper) you can distinctly hear the Ric-o-sound effect by listening to the left and right speaker of your stereo separately. I haven't tried this yet, but are there other songs (not just Beatles) recorded with Ric-o-sound that can be easily identified? Just some fun trivia.

The person may have been thinking of the stereo spread on some mixes of Day Tripper...but that ain't a Ric; and I don't believe there's a stereo spread on the Ticket To Ride intro.

Based on what I read in interviews with George Martin, they didn't really think "stereo" until after the '64-to-early '65 height of their Rickenbacker period. More or less pre-Revolver, the songs were mixed with mono singles in mind. The early stereo mixes were done mostly with vocals on one side and backing on the other so that the vocal level could be balanced more easily.
