Replacement Pickgaurd for 325C58

I just received my 325c58 JG Ric - thanks to UPS -and to my suprise the gold pickgaurd has a 3 way crack radiating out from one of the control knobs. You can imagine how disapointing this can be after waiting and anticipating its arrival.
Does anyone know if who/what dealer might have these in stock. At this stage of the game I dont mind paying more for fast Air shipping as its tough looking at the guitar in this state.
Any help would greatly apreciated...

Fab Gear, not Tonewerks may have them. I guess I would question the match of the paint on the nameplate vs the pickguard.
(I have a 325C58 and the gold has a more greenish cast to it than did the 325V59 version I previously had. Good Luck!!!

Bryan, I had this happen to the lower (thank God) pickguard on my 381JK, courtesy of the US Postal Service, so I feel your pain! One of our fellow Forumers, Don Adamek (Rick12dr), made a repro that was a near-perfect match to the original guard (underneath side painted metallic silver). He's the resident repro pickguard maker, so you might contact him.
Alan, I've not noticed this green tint with my 325c58 MG, but I have only my 1984 325v59, with its naturally aged greenish-gold pickguard, to compare it to.

When I first got the 325C58 I did not notice it. I was so excited to get my hands on the C58 that I was more focused on the playability of the instrument as well as the lightness of it. I was later asked about the tint of the gold and that brought it to my attention. I only had the 325C58 & and the 325V59 together a short time as I sold the 325V59 within a day of getting the 325C58. Anyone else see this greenish tint or should I remove my green tinted glasses?

Try Rickenbacker Customer Service. They set me up. You do need to have the serial number, though.

I rec'd this in an email from Mr. Hall. I thought it was nice of him to explain the greenish cast to the pickguard & trc.
Mr. Hall wrote,
"It's *supposed* to be greenish on the reissue. The original paint contained bronze powder which corroded with a green patina almost immediately."
We went to a great deal of trouble to match this color. Plain gold is easy.

Alan Ross was an assistant to Adams in the '70s and prints Ansel's Limited Edition Yosemite Prints that are sold through the Ansel Adams Gallery, and is a very good photographer in his own right.
