I helped out Francesco with some pics he has that he couldn't post. Please excuse the quality as they were taken with a cellphone camera!
Francesco,
Maybe someone here (Chris Pappas?) would be glad to buy you a nice digital camera and good photo editing software in exchange for that old bass of yours (4005).

How about a 6 string?

I've seen the 6 string version. I don't know how well a B string would fit or sound on that model since it was strung with E as the lowest string.

I agree with Joey, the more I see of 4005's the more I need one ... RAS is a terrible affliction, only made worse by associating with you lot !!!

The taunting continues......
Hey Francesco, that large bass you have there, the really BIG one...it has a big "slash" in the side of it!! With all of the other NICE instruments you have there, you should probably sell THAT one to ME, so that your very nice collection won't be insulted!! How DARE that big, beautiful hollow bodied, slashed, RIC 4005 invade the sanctity of your home!! Let me help you Francesco! I will sacrifice many $$$$ to help you "correct" your inventory.....It is my DUTY!!

I wish I still had my 3001. The more I look at a 4005, the more I think I could modify the body and heastock to look like one. It would require filling the pickup cavity and making a new guard and such but I think it could be done. I'm all out of 3000's to cut up and my wife says I can't buy any more. C'mon Jeff...do the mods to one of your 2000 series and you'll have a 5-string one to boot!

Hello! Thank you for the work on my pictures Jeff, they were really bad quality ones...
Hey Chris, sorry, but I don't think I will ever get rid of my 4005

It's more probably that at RIC they (FINALLY) make a 4005V65 reissue!!! how about that? they made a 325/330/350/360/381/4001 reissue and even the Rose Morris models...but no 4005???? that's unfair
..and Randy, the violin bass was made in Deutschland, Europe...I don't think the North American climate would be healthy for him... you know it's getting pretty old....that bass was born around 64/65..and wouldn't be very polite to leave that 60s Vox Super Foundation Bass Amplifier all alone at my home without violin to play through
If jeff's still willing to help me posting my "bad" pictures, I'm gonna send him a shot of my Fireglo 360 with traditional F sound holeā¦it looks really great
