How to date “toaster” pickups?

NOt really .
You can certainly identify them from new ones.
The bobbin material on the new is different .
The tops are slightly different, many of the old ones have round tooling marks in the corners of the black toaster slot.
The old ones ,have magnets glued in with Yellow wood workers glue,or something that sure looks like that glue.
The old ones have Columbia flexlife cable on them for leads. The new ones do not.
