plastic or metal baseplate for the rear pickup? NOT the surround but the piece that the pickup is screwed onto and THEN attached to?? I acquired a set of pickups and the rear pickup was sent without the piece.

Jared makes them out of aluminum and they look exactly like the ones found on the transition pickups. Perhaps he has one to sell you.

Let me know how much you want for two of those! On the newer ones at least, there are mounting holes for screwing down a toaster. Can you do those holes too, thanks.

The aluminium (UK spelling) can be drilled and tapped for a toaster if that is what's required.
Or even a SD 1/4 (w/cheese)!

I hadn't decided how I wanted to mount the toaster as I won't get it for a few days. I ordered a 0030 with untapped mounting holes for the bridge position so I can screw it down with machine screws and nuts. The tapped holes would make things simpler as long as I can get the correct screws to fit; at present I am not sure how long they will need to be. As the toaster has magnet slugs protruding from the bottom I also ordered a foam mounting ring to add in stabilizing the pickup on the mounting plate. I would only need these additional holes on one of the plates, the other one is for the V63 horseshoe pickup. Monterey Jack please!

I like the aluminium because of the look but I am going with the platic on this bass. On another project that I have coming up, I will probably talk to you about one of those....I like the metal look on the 73's....This will be cool..
