RIC's 70th Birthday

Sometime this year Rickenbacker will celebrate 70 years of making fine instruments. Does anyone know their birthday?
Correspondence from Mr. John Hall has revealed
that October 8, 2001 would be the 70th year anniversary of legal incorporation. While the company was organized as early as 1929 as some kind of proprietorship, there is no existing documentation to support the earlier date at the present time.
