Does anyone know if the Let It Be movie will ever be released on VHS or DVD?I currently have all of the other Beatle movies on VHS.I just recently got my own DVD player,so I'm just starting to collect DVDs.

Hey. There was rumor of a re-mastering and re-lease of the film on DVD last fall, but apparently it never happened. I have, though, seen a few TV spots and a couple of online bits that were obviously different (either seriously enhanced, or actually different video) from anything on the "Let It Be" film as we know it. Ringo and Paul have commented separately that in their views the film as it was released did not faithfully represent the total of the filmed material, and that more (alot more according to Ringo) is there to be included in a new "version" of "Let It Be." I hope so. I'd love to see it.

I still haven't seen the movie, aside from the bits that are included in the Anthology, so I'd love to see it myself. I thought that the latest rumor was that a 'Let It Be' DVD would be released around Christmas time, or possibly the first quarter of 2005. We can only hope. Image

I bought the VHS tape of it years ago from a video store that was selling off old inventory. I paid something silly like $80 for it.

I watch every once in awhile and while it can be depressing it also contains some great footage. It's nice to freeze frame cetain shots and examine them.

Yep, it can be depressing. I have it on VHS, but I don't watch it too much other than the rooftop concert bit. I tend to get furious with Paul for being such a nick picking freak (it's not like George doesn't know how to play, eh?) and absolutely livid with John for dragging that what-ever-the-hell-she-is around with him everywhere. If you want a full-time groupie, fine, just leave her OUT of the professional situations, please.

Then you feel sorry for George and Ringo, plugging away and trying to do their best while the ego-queens being, well... ego-queens. Sheesh.

I used to have this on Select-a-vision disc. I still do, but it skips a lot now. It was a stereo version, which I guess is rare, or something?

There are plenty available on EBay.

I purchased a copy on DVD and the audio, and video where both good. The seller I bought it from is no longer a registered user. I'm pretty sure he was burning copies and selling a ton of these DVD's. I knew it would be just a matter of time.

I have a DVD recorder, so if anyone has a high-quality VHS tape of it, I can put it on DVD for them. My copy of "Let it Be" is probably 3rd generation or so. It's OK, but not DVD quality.
