This photo is from Dale Fortune of a doubleneck guitar he made in 1977. I will leave the description to him.

Wow...

Wonder if Don Felder would be able to cook on that baby?

Fellows, I only took a 6 string and a 12 string and gratfed them together, the instruments were originally made by Rickenbacker in the mid 70's. This instrument turned out quite nice but weighed in at almost 14 pounds. What's that about 6.8 kilos? Peter, thanks for posting this. Why do I get an error message saying my photos are to large for the post. Any help or info on this?

Bruce: Your photos cannot exceed 36K or 500X500 pixels. The above photo was initally about 77k, for example.

Dale, that's so cool! Of course as a "purist", I'd call it a "452/12" because of the dot fret markers (460s have triangle markers). Image

Do I see three selector switches? How did you have the two necks wired?

That is so very close to what I want my "622/12" doubleneck project to look like when it is done. Maybe seeing this picture will give my friend incentive to get his garage cleared out enough to set that saw up ...

Agreed Gary. That is my error. A 452/12 it is. But Gary did you read a little between the lines. Fourteen pounds!

Yes, I don't expect mine to be any lighter! Besides a strap, it will come standard with a back brace ... Image
