Got a message on my voice mail that my 360-12 in Fireglo with the "Toasters" arrived today. Glad to hear it arrived. I was not expecting ot until Feb. 2005. It came about 2 months early, so I will need to move an amp or a guitar to keep the wife happy. I should get a pic of it tomorrow. Hoping it sounds great and beyond that the wood has a nice grain or figuring. This will be my 2nd Ric after I had a 1967 360-12 in the late 70s early 80s. That guitar was bought for $275 and sold for the same price. Wish I still had it! My #1 guitar is a G&L S-500, my #2s are a Vintage Player Strat and and 89 Les Paul Standard.
I have a Laney VC-30 2X10 amp that I hope mates well with the Ric. I also have a Tweed Bassman and a Deluxe I put together and a V-Series VFX5212 that will try the Ric with. My favorite amp right now is a Yamaha T50C designed by Mike Soldano that I have modded with a choke and retubed with GE and Sylvania 12AX7s and JJ 6L6GCs. I also have a compressor pedal. Any idea what rough settings to try on the amps with the Ric or will those I use with the G&L work well? Just looking for a little guidance so I can get right into enjoying Ric tone.
