Is this the one that you were referring to in your other posts?

$1999 (around €1600/1700)sounds like a good price.
you can have a standard 4003 as new at that price here in Italy

I called several places looking at c64's. Mike Parks has a Mapleglo for $1895 and I was bidding on a c64S on Ebay until the bidding approached $1600. Bass NW also has a Mapleglo and that's my preference since I have a Fireglo 4003.

I have a FG V63...I have been thinking lately to purchase a jetglo 4003 or maybe a 4001c64 if available in jetglo also... does the C64 sound different than a V63? I don't think there're many differencies...if they sound the same I'd go for a 4003..which is less expensive

I have a 2001 4003 fireglo ... got it for $750 used ... and it's got the nice modern pickups and binding and trianglar inlays ...

oh yes I know how a 4003 looks like...compared to a vintage version...
I am talking about the sound differencies...I used to have a 79 4001 but I got rid of it before purchasing my V63, because it had truss rod troubles... so at the moment I am not able to compare the highgain pickups with vintage toasters...that's all...

if there's no BIG difference in sound between a C64 and a V63 (that I already have) I dont see any reason to pay more for a C64 instead of a 4003

I would think the c64 and v63 would sound similar, so you would do well with a 4003 in terms of sonic difference.

mmm yes thank you, Ron .. I supposed that... and it's 7-800 €uros cheaper which is not bad at all :-)
