*Crosspost*
I am trading for a 78 azureglo 4001 that is going to need some neck work and I asked for pictures of the rod ends with the TRC off and it appears that the metal piece behind the nuts is wacked. Does anyone have one of these or know where I can get one? I will try to post a pic so you can see...

If you want one of the original blocks, I have a few I think, but I don't recall what kind of shape they're in. I'll check tonight.

Jaymi..I just say this thread and your Q. I would say the rods could use removing and re-arcing along with the usual thread chasing. The aluminum block does look a bit wacked but my luthier made me a new one along with some stainless washers and brass adjusting nuts for about $30.00.

I find every winter it get's dry in my house and the necks of my basses shrink and I have to tighten the truss rods to counter the shrinkage ... then every summer it gets humid and the wood expands so I have to back off the truss rods ... some basses I can just adjust the bridge to compensate ...
