Forum Moving

Please note that sometime over the next month the Forum will be moving. While this present direct address will change with little notice, you can still use
http://forum.rickresource.com to find the new home.
Once the Forum is settled in its new location, archives may be added or made available on disk.
I apologize for this inconvenience, however, I want to transfer as few files as possible.
I hope the transition is a smooth one, however, there are no guarantees in the digital world, or the analog world either for that matter.

Glad you waited until VoxTalks was back! If my two favorite forums went down, I'd have to, um, I don't know, start my own. Oh wait, I have one...

"Glad you waited until VoxTalks was back!"
Yeah, me too. Cripes, I'd have no reason to even have the internet at all!
I wondered where all the archive threads went. I guess they're being moved first? Or are they gone forever?

Spencer: The archive threads are saved. Thoughts on what should be done with them is certainly a topic for discussion.

That,s a relief Peter. There is a wealth of information in those sections and I use them all the time. Could these be transferred to disc and possible sold to willing parties for a sum to cover costs?

Should have read Peter,s first post a little more thoroughly about the disks....Count me in!

Wints: Thanks for your comment. It is really difficult to know how useful the archives are for visitors. Having them online is convenient but there are two consequences of extensive files, a reduction in overall board speed and eventually rising costs.
A disk is one obvious format. I am, of course, interested in what others have to say, before I make the assumption that they are used beyond the intial reading. It is a fascinating read for me, but others may find it less so.

I would be interested in a copy of the archives on disk should you decide to make them available for sale.

Brian,
I think you just gave Peter an idea by using the words "available for sale."

Peter, I love the archives, and if they are not going to move with the new site, please consider making them available on disc. I go there semi-regularly and find new stuff all the time!
