Rickenbacker 4002

I've got a lead on a 80s model 4002 for $700.00. I don't think it's the orginal finish. Would you guys go for it?

Sorry about that, but I almost had a stroke when I read your post. YES! YES! a refined 4002 would be a great investement for $700.00. Just make sure its not broken or seriously modified.

Original parts, particularly the pickguard, PU's and electronics on a 4002 are nearly impossible to replace.

Ok, don't have a stroke but, it may be the original finish of Azureglo!I don't think the guy knows what he has. I'm still waiting to here back from him. I will keep you posted.

4002's were either Mapleglo or Walnut (like Autumnglo but glossy).

OK, it must be a refine then. He says its "bluish " color. Dun know....

Are you sure it's a 4002? I've seen it too listed as 4002, but it could be a typo.
