As I have been growing my RIC arsenal, it is time to let this very nice bass go to a home where it will be loved.

American Vintage stack knob Jazz Bass in mint condition. Has all case candy and Brown hardshell case. Hipshot vintage tuners are currently on the bass, much better than the stock Gotoh tuners, which are included and proper tort pickguard by Pickguardian, original pickguard included. Beautiful Sunburst finish. Only mod was a small cutout to access truss rod nut without taking the bass apart.

$900.00

Nice bass there, Jeffrey - I have one of those '62 reissues as well, and IMO they are a great bass. Although I don't have the guts to do it, the slight mod for the truss rod access is a really good idea. Otherwise, it's really a PITA to get to it. :-\

That sure is a purty bass. I've got a late '80s Jazz Bass that I dropped some DiMarzios in. It's actually one of the few "recent" Fenders that plays well IMHO.
Though I'm a diehard Rick guy, I really like having a Fender in the arsenal as well.

I really love the recorded sound of this bass with TI flats on it. As much as I'd like to keep it I must thin the herd.

As soon as the bass came in to the dealer I arranged for their luthier to do the truss rod mod. And I must say that Tony's vintage pickguard made the bass sound more vintage as soon as I put it on. Image
