Isn't it a bit pricey for a '79 - even if it is an Azureglo? BIN $1,800!

There's another Azureglo in Germany, his BIN price is $1,285. What do you think of that price for an '80 Azureglo?

It's a relist - first time he described it as a "1974 Midnight Blue", then cancelled the auction to correct the title. I'm a bit worried about the "Frets have about 60% of their original height" part. What would you suggest? Is it worth it?

Many times I see sellers call the fingerboard wood Pao Ferro. I don't think RIC ever used Pao Ferro. Where do these people get their info from?

That 79 looks better price wise...It has a couple of dings but that is to be expected since it has been played...

So you'd say $1,285 is a fair price?

I'm considering this one (I don't really mind the dings) or a 74 Mapleglo that I was offered to buy at $1,100. What would you do? I really like Azureglo, but I also really want the ½-inch spacing, and I don't like the "Frets have about 60% of their original height"... which one would you choose?

This one is a relist. It passed without a bid about a month ago for the same ridiculous price.

"Where do these people get their info from?"

Rick dealers often say things like that. Ed Roman says that Vermillion is padauk - which is a very easy mistake to make but JH says that the vermillion used in the 4001CS is not in the padauk family. I think he said it is closer to zebrawood.

The German one must have been taken with a cheap digital camera as the color looks too light, the shade in the first one for $1800.00 is closer to all the ones I've seen.
