Has anyone tried this on a Ric 12? The pic is from Stephen Delft's bit on the mimf forum.

You don't perceive intonation problems with 6 and 12 string guitars? Tune your guitar for a perfect open G chord, then play a first position A, or try C vs. E.

Tempered tuning is a series of compromises. Some live with it, some embrace it, and some (e.g. Buzz Feiten and this nut) try to work around it.
Personally, I'm waiting for a guitar with compensated frets.

String bending would be fun on that one. Stretching a string and hearing it go FLAT would be strange, to say the least!

Judging by the tuning fork logo, that's some kind of Yamaha. Weee-eird!
I brought this up, because I just put an Earvana nut on one of my parts guitars. Definite improvement. Unrelated to that effort, I recently tried a number of Taylor 12 strings and even with them tuned properly, I couldn't handle the open chord swirl.

The guitar is Yamaha's Frank Gambale signature model. The curious bent frets are the Fretwave system -
