I've decided that this will be my next Beatle Guitar quest as I wait for the remaining "C" series guitars to be released. Does anyone have any idea where to find one of the 325s in Fireglo.

I found one made in 1990, but he wouldn't go lower than $1,540. That seemed a little steep for this model. Especially with the hi gain pickups.

If anyone has a lead I would appreciate it.

Kind of unusual for a 320/325 as late as 1990 to have a soundhole isn't it? It generally tends to be 70's and early 80's models that still had the soundhole on some occasions.

I just had a guy asking me if I thought $1999 was too much for a '79 325fg with 'f' hole. Seeing as any shorty with a soundhole is getting desirable $1540 sounds like not such a terrible price.

Glen, My bad. This 325 I was looking at did not have an "f" hole. I was going to have Jeff at FABGEAR do the modifications for me. So the guitar I was looking at was (according to them) made in 1990. I didn't ask for a serial number because I wasn't going to shell that kind of cash out. Just thought I'd clear that up.

No problem Brian. Jeff explained the situation. He also showed me that pic and it is a '90 production 320 with added Accent. You can pick the production models by the very wide headstock, Gotoh tuners, and high gain pickups. It's probably had plain black knobs and Accent Vibrato added to give it a retro look.



These were discontinued the following year as re-issues took the forefront. I wouldn't be surprised if someone paid his price for this getting hard to find model, especially in the less common fireglo finish

So now what do I do?

I don't think you'd be wise to have a soundhole cut in a production model like this. Besides which, the wide headstock and gotoh tuners will always define it.

You should be able to find a 325V63fg. They are much more convertable to a 325s

Y'know, this is nuts. For years, everybody griped about the ƒ hole in the 325 as an un-Lennon-like cosmetic feature (it was standard on the model from about 1965 until the B series reissues). Now, from outta nowhere, the ƒ holes are 'cute' and bring a premium. Go figure.

i have a 1966 325 fireglow, how much would this be worth?

Nice guitar Josh. If it doesn't have any issues, I'd say somewhere in the $5K range according to what similar instruments have gone for, possibly a little more. Ultimately I suppose it depends on what a buyer and seller agree upon as to it's worth....
