I sure hope that isn't what they'll look like.

Thanks, Jeff... OUCH!
I wish I could unpost it, now that I see it on the web. The actual work is a good deal more subtle.
DEFENSIVE?? ME DEFENSIVE???

Have to admit it is tad too light or white in the burst. But a nice effort.

Thanks, both of you! Actually, posting it was a shocker, but no way to retract...three glaring errors are visible (especially on my Apple, which has a different color profile than the machine it was done on):
1. Blue edge FAR too intense and dark
2. Blend too abrupt, although not evident until posting
3. The too-white problem that Stan mentions.
And of course you're right, Jeff--I wouldn't buy it looking like that either!

Interestingly enough, the first unit we sprayed, a 360/12, looks just like this (or at least how it appears on my monitor). Just today Ben and I were discussing what to do with it, i.e. strip it or make it a Hard Rock Cafe wall hanger.
The production color is an electric blue close to this but shaded darker at the edges and then to a very faint blue in the middle. There is no "white" area at all in the middle as it just doesn't look right on this color.

If you don't want it Mr Hall, I know a good home......

Sorry Paul, I wasn't very tactful. I do appreciate the effort if that helps any.
I am looking forward to seeing what the production models look like in this finish, and the 660/12 is probably the model I'd be most interested in.

Hey, Jeff, no harm done!
I just put down my MB 660-12 for the night, and after a month of daily noodling, I'm getting comfortable with it.
Have you ever owned one? If not, I think you're in for a treat! What a sound, even uncompressed...

Yeah well the blueburst we first sprayed is down here in my office and I think the one shown here actually looks nicer. Regardless, the shade we settled on looks much nicer than this!

Welcome Ben! What is your relation to John? I knew there was a B. Hall from a Fedex package I had sent a while ago that you signed for, but wasn't sure what the B. stood for. I guess we don't have to ask you what your favorite guitar brand is, huh?

I'm his son. That package is probably something from my days as shipping clerk here at the factory.

Welcome to the Forum, Ben.
I look forward to your participation...the more, the better.
Ha, I hope the bass is your main instrument!
