I think that's a Jan.~Jun. '73, Chris.
Ain't got no "split" in the tailpiece either.

That ain't no 72!

As you guys have already said, no fingerest holes, post-72 inlays, no tailpiece split...

You should know, eh Henny?

Has any post-partum depression set in from your sale yet? Image

I feel like my Feb '73 could actually be a '72, since it probably was built in late '72

Not so much depression, more... complete utter sadness within the very pit of my soul. (j/k) But, I shall really miss that bass.

But my new beaut comes on Thursday! So I'm happy again! Image

Regardless if it's a 72 or 73, that FG 4001 is nice! Too bad I can't afford it!

Full width inlays were there in early 73 ... I don't think there was a specific serial number when you can say
"no more after here"

I'm thinking Dec. 72 since it has all the transition features. Toaster in the neck, checkered binding(we still did some in 73 and 74)
Funny Peg Head. There's a story behind the not so right looking peg head if anyone is interested to hear about it. The seller should have posted the serial# don't ya think? This still looks like a really nice Bass. Pretty clean for it's age.
