Question about my 360 that looks like a 370

I recently picked up a used Jetglow 360, but it seems like an oddball model. Its dated 1984, on the headstock logo it says Made in USA, Model 360 right by the nut. The strange thing is, it has the flat pointy body (like 330) with white binding on the body (top and bottom), neck and soundhole, and THREE humbuckers. Which I thought would make it a 370. Is there some grey area between models during the Eighty's production runs? Or could this have been a custom order?
Whatever it is, I love it!

perhaps the nameplate was inadvertantly exchanged during some service/repair - by description, you have a 370wb.

Remove the middle pickup and see if the finish is missing where the pickup route is .

Check the other pickup holes as well .Sometimes at the assembly bench we woul route for the middle pickups as orders would change or something "custom" was needed.

However ...if all the finish is there ...it is stock .I finish is missing on the neck and the middle pickup cavities ...then I wouls say it is a repair shop modification .

I sounds like a nice MOD though.

Hi Mark, I removed the pickups and found that the neck is still painted, the middle is routed, and the bridge is painted on the bottom but is not painted on the walls. I guess I have a modded 360. Is there any way to find out if RIC did the mod?

NOt really ...we did some really hideous bench routing to mod guitars when I worked there .

The middle pickup was almost always an after thought ...even on guitars that 'come' with it rarely have finish in the middle pickup 'route'.

Thanks for all your info! I guess I won't lose any sleep over wondering about the history of the mod. If anyone asks what model it is, Ill call it a 360 1/2 ;-)
