Many who have read certain beatle books know that the original title for "Abbey Road" was going to be "Everest" (after the beatles favourite cigarette brand) now, with this being said.... I am recording an album called "Everest" featuring rare but complete abbey road era songs (Come and Get it, Goodbye) as well as songs that can be heard in demos by the beatles in some of the bootlegs (Watching Rainbows, Child of Nature, etc.) Currenty this is a small, and strange idea..... please give me some feedback on what you think

I think it was "The Beatles" (White Album) that was going to be called Everest. I'm not sure Come and Get it and Goodbye are rare songs but they are good ones. I wouldn't call your idea strange. It sounds like an ambitious project. I wish you well.

The White Album was originally going to be called the Dollhouse and Everest was the name for Abbey Rd

It sounds like a great idea, Alex, and it will surely be a fun project to work on. Great, uncommon songs, too.
From what I remember, Everest was the early-on title for Abbey Road.

I'd like to hear you do "Goodbye". Probably my favorite rare Beatle track. Are you going to do it just acoustic or are you going to do it like Mary Hopkins did it? I think just you and an acoustic would be tops! My 2 cents...............

It's a good idea, I know a guy who was thinking the same thing, but I don't think he started, he told me about it the other day...
As much as I like the songs just don't go off and do No Pakistanis and White Power and you'll be fine
I actually didn't know about it being called Everest untill now, I must of missed it in the books I've read...
Do they still make cigarettes? European brand I imagine?

Can you count "Not Guilty" as one of those, or was it strictly a White Album reject? LOVE that song. Was very glad George eventually recorded it himself.

Yeah, we'd like to hear! Just remember, if/when you do "Goodbye", to change "him" to "her"!!! It always ****** me off when I'd play that song to someone and they're like, "Ummm, did he just say I must be by HIS side???" Then I have to explain that the song was written for a woman...Blah blah blah.......Although, you do what you want... Ummm, yeah, errr...I think I'll just take my foot out of my mouth and be on my way.
P.S. Beatles songs are ALL I've recorded for the last three years....I get a kick out of trying to do the work of four talents and one kickazz producer....Then I delete everything I did cause I just listened to "Revolver"...I'm NOT WORTHY!
God, I'm so drunk right now................
