Well, I guess the price for Jeff Rath's '68 was right on the money, then, if he is going to get that for a '68. I think I like the '69 better. For some reason, you never see them.

no jim, these are the real deal, a 1963-4000 converted to a 4001 and a 1968 -4001s both very rare.

Ken, what's the story with that 68 S then? It does look like a V series with the horseshoe, pickguard etc...The original M/G,s finishes look more yellowed usually too. Do you have any more pics such under the guard etc??

Really nice looking instruments Ken, thanks for sharing. Andrew is right it does look like the v series .......

Finishes on both are really nice looking given their ages.

The fireglo one has been refin'd. Darrel told me this himself..I did not ask about the other one.
